![]() It's pretty shitty, and on top of that, I figured I'd just save and quit and restart whenever I do things of significance, but I did that awhile ago and when I restarted the game crashed when it was loading in (which always freaks me out cuz I'm always afraid of corrupted saves) so I pretty much have to quit the whole game and return to the PS menu every time. Just a couple of hours ago I was playing, and not even 30 minutes after I started the game crashed. Subnautica hasn't crashed on me much, Below Zero crashed a few times, and after losing like, 10 hours of progress I started to just compulsively save every 10 minutes pretty much, but since the first game is a couple years old, and the handful of times I've played in Creative it's ran fine so I figured it'd probably be fine. I just started a Hardcore playthrough a couple of days ago, I debated just doing Survival, but I enjoy the tension of only having one life, so I figured whatever I'll give it a shot, but I didn't realize you could only save when you quit. I really hope they fix this soon, I'd hate to give up the game because I've lost my 30th hour of progress to sla dumb glitch that could probably be fixed in a month However, this doesn't exactly fill me with confidence in the second one if they won't bother to fix a critical error like this. ![]() I know they're an indie company and I got the game for free, but in reality, they likely gave the first one away to convince people to buy the second one. It truly pains me to see, "they saw it and said they'd do something about it, but that was 2 years ago," especially as I've followed this game for years and go to it for relaxation and to break my covid cabin fever. The problem here is that you can't save HC without also quitting, and quitting and rejoining the world takes 5 to 10 minutes on average, and that's not something I want to do every 30 minutes. ![]() Just now, I was touring with my cyclops, checking life pods, searching wrecks, and gathering resources so I can improve my almost empty base, and after about 2 hours of grinding, I got my first crash. However, I am now on an entirely new PS4 (the larger one with the indicator light on the side, not sure what the difference is) with no external attachments except psvr (in hindsight, the old one did too, but I doubt there's a correlation) I have been playing a hard-core world on there for the past couple weeks, and have made good progress. Had a few more after that, but not a ridiculous amount, plus I only played for about an hour or 2 at a time anyways, so it wasn't usually a lot of lost progress. I just assumed it was our PS since ours has an external storage drive, and just started saving more often. My first crash came somewhere later in the game in the deeper parts, and it set me back several hours. I played a normal world on one PS4 that I shared with a friend, who was also playing a normal world.
